The Rain in Spain......

TUESDAY

So far its been on every road we have traveled but much less so on Day 4, Tuesday.
We said goodbye to Allan and the Scrumpies mob who were going to be tonking it all the way to Barca from La Guardia. Thats close to 500 clicks in a day.

They left the hotel and crossed the road to fill up with gas. Lesson learned. They all filled up.
Then i heard the bikes rev up and they were off. I heard the throb of the vee twins descend down the valley.  Safe journey Scrumpies.

Graham, Sims and I left about 40 mins later and headed for Alquezar. The weather was occasionally wet but generally dry...ish and we kept to a steady 120 clicks. Did some filming on the GoPro and the Flip. Turned left at Zaragosa, and headed for Huesca.

That involved a few TomTom moments but we finally took a road that led to Huesca. It was a massive brand new road with no cars and some great corners.  Then a tight left and off to Alquezar. Small road thru villages on twisties punctuated with tractors, olive groves and spring flowers.
The view of the Pyrenees was amazing still with Snow capped peaks. It was chilly out but bike gear is snug.
As we rounded the last few bends into Alquezar we saw the village built fortress style into the mountainside. Stunning.

Found the hotel, parked the bikes, checked in. Beer, food, beer, sleep happy.

  1. I didn't realise that you were going to split up, was it something they said?

It's still damn cold over here, sub zero every night with no sign of a let up and that keeps it soooo cold in the day.

    I'll still be watching you
