One Day to Go

I've had an interesting day engaging with technology. On the serious side Sims and I can now both send and receive e-mails from our i-Pad. On a lighter note, we can now operate our GoPro camera remotely from our i-Phone or our i-Pad. We can upload footage to the i-Pad, edit in i-Movie on the i-Pad and post the edited clips to this blog and to Facebook.

Rob's Virago's already packed and ready to roll.... a little previous, but who cares... I guess we're going to have to swap the GoPro between bikes on the journey South.

But all of tis technology requires power... so here's The Battery Saga.

Obviously not wanting to take a rucksack full of wires and plugs with us, it was time to rationalise the power supply and charging issue. So; what do we need?

To keep the Empire under control:

1. Charge i-Phones (Apple Connector to USB)
2. Charge i-Pad (Apple Connector to USB)

To keep us heading in the right direction:

3. Charge TomTom Bluetooth Headset (Specific Mains Charger)

To keep us entertained:

4. Charge i-Pod Shuffle (Mini jack to USB)

To keep our Loyal Subjects informed:

5. Charge GoPro Camera (USB to USB)
6. Charge GoPro Wireless Back (USB to USB)
7. Charge Canon Camera Battery (Specific Mains Charger)

Arrive at venue. Check in. Go to Room. Plug international power adaptor with 2 USB inputs into wall. Plug GoPro Camera and Wireless Back into them and leave on charge. Plug European power adaptor into second socket if there is one. Leave Bluetooth Headset or Canon Camera Battery on charge if needed. Retire to bar. Drink. Post to Facebook and Blog whilst drinking. Do not pour alcohol over i-Pad or i-Phone.

Return from bar to room. If GoPro is fully charged swap GoPro Camera and Wireless Back for Sim's i-Phone and i-Pad USB connectors . If not, return to bar. Repeat as necessary. Finally, leave i-Pad and i-Phone on charge overnight. Plug CPAP machine into European power adaptor when retiring.

In the morning, once the kettle's boiled, swap the i-Pad and Sims' i-Phone for the i-Pod and G's i-Phone and then go for breakfast. We'll unplug these immediately prior to leaving.

Job done!
